“New sources of funding for energy transition and climate change prevention”

Green Arena, Teme

When: 11.12.2020., 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM CET

Description:

The energy transition, which has been the dream of many scientists and environmental activists for decades, has moved from the margins of society to the total political mainstream with this year’s European Commission policy proposals. It is no longer question whether the energy transition will happen soon, but by when (the recent proposal is in 2050), how everything will be financed (which is the main topic of this webinar) and how to reindustrialize the economy.

In this webinar, we will try to answer these big and important questions from the context of Southern and Southeastern Europe, with an emphasis on local sources of financing (capital inverted in banks) and the forthcoming opening of new sources of financing from the EU. The general democratization of the energy sector (along with the already accepted decarbonisation, digitalisation and decentralization) is also extremely important.
