Description:
The Mediterranean, this beautiful central sea of three continents, is not only a highly valuable natural resource but also the cradle of many civilizations that have developed and decayed along its shores. None of these civilizations, up to ours, from the Neolithic to this new age of the Anthropocene, has threatened not only to irreversibly destroy the Mediterranean ecosystem but also to destroy itself by reckless and uncontrolled and completely unsustainable development. More and more relevant authors indicate that the main generators of the collapse of our civilization in the Mediterranean will have already started climate change and the entry of microplastics into food chains of many species, including humans. In this webinar, we try to explain why this is so and whether it can be prevented (if it is not too late).
